Traveling with Untours

I worked for Untours, a very interesting travel company (each of the previous four words links to a different page) from 2006 - 2008. I worked on the "Bohemian team" there, which oversaw a hodgepodge of several different destinations in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Greece.

In 2006 I went to Germany, visiting the "Rhine" and the "Bavarian Castle" destinations, to the Czech Republic to meet our Prague staff person, and Budapest for a few short days, as I'd never been there before.

In 2007, I traveled to Austria. There, Untours has apartments in villages south of Salzburg and in Vienna. The trip was at the end of October, and I had a week of beautiful weather in the Salzburg countryside and the week after in Vienna was basically all rain. After that, I took a train all the way up to Sweden to visit a friend who was studying abroad in Sundsvall (well, I stopped in Munich and Bremen along the way).

In 2008, I visited Greece. Mainly I went to Nafplio, which is a really picturesque harbor town on the Peloponnese peninsula, but I also got to spend a few nights in Athens, where Untours works with a few hotels for people who want to begin or end their trip there.

Traveling with Family

I haven't been on a lot of trips with my family. In March of 2007 I went with my mother to Taiwan, we were in Taipei mostly, but we took one side-trip to Hualien. The pictures below are of Hualien.

In March of 2008 my whole immediate family (parents and my two younger sisters) took a trip to Chicago, which is about a 4 hour train ride from where my parents live in Michigan.
